The Chicago Bass Ensemble

a unique musical experience

When's the last time you were invited to a quartet featuring the double upright base? No violins, no violas, just 4 concert double upright base players, in a chamber setting like you won't hear anywhere else. Another unique art experience brought to you by Center Portion and The Chicago Bass Ensemble.

Here's the program, which ran about 90 minutes, including intermissions:

Doug Johnson, The Open Sea
Jan Alm, Quartet #2
Seth Boustead, Sawtooth Hammer
Paul Hindemith, Six Chansons
Teppo Hauta-Aho, Koraaliaana Miniature
David Anderson, Quartet 1987
