NEXT EVENT

2012

Schedule TBA

2011 was a banner year of programming at Center Portion, featuring the Mayoral Tutorial, a screening of indie film, Waste Land, and the Holiday concerts with The Crooked Mouth, just to name a few. We are still putting together this year's schedule, and look forward to hosting original writing and performance in our Logan Square space.

There is plenty going on elsewhere in Chicago, and here are a few things Sheila Donohue recommends checking out:

Three Story Animal

Curious Theatre Branch

Opens at Center Portion Friday, July 2nd.

Runs Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 7:00 through July 11

Three stories each night, three nights each week. Beau O'Reilly teams up with one guest writer and one “famous” writer in rotating repertory. Starting at the Side Project in June and continuing at Center Portion in July.

Are you with us so far?
This Animal is all about the threes. And the combinations. For example, Beau meets Beckett meets Jenny Magnus. Beau meets Ernest Hemingway meets Mark Chrisler. Beau meets Lars Gustafsson meets Diana Slickman. Beau meets Donald Barthelme meets Chris Sullivan. And how can we leave out Beau meets John Starrs meets Jack Kerouac?

Featuring Beau O'Reilly, Jenny Magnus, Mark Chrisler, Diana Slickman, John Starrs, Chris Sullivan, Colm and Winifred O'Reilly, Kate Teichman, Judith Harding, Adam Rosenberg, Mitch Salm, Matt Test, Matthew Kopp, Meg Hauk, Kate O'Reilly and H.B. Ward
