2011 was a banner year of programming at Center Portion, featuring the Mayoral Tutorial, a screening of indie film, Waste Land, and the Holiday concerts with The Crooked Mouth, just to name a few. We are still putting together this year's schedule, and look forward to hosting original writing and performance in our Logan Square space.

David Hernandez



Artist Julian Harr presented a magical, colorful world of whimsical wooden box sculptures inspired by the lyrical and poignant writing of poet David Hernandez, a longtime member of the Chicago poetry scene and a leader in Chicago's Puerto Rican literary community. Hernandez made a live appearance to read selections from his collection of poetry.
