The Crooked Mouth
with special guests
Saturdays in May - 8:00pm
May 7 - Erin Waters
May 14 - Jeff Weisfeld Band
May 21 - Stephanie Rearick
May 28 - Midnight Moxie

The Crooked Mouth is thrilled to be in residence at Center Portion this May, and playing with some of our favorite musicians.
Here are the deets on our special guests:

The Erin Waters Show - May 7
Erin Waters grew up in a twenty member, all-girl jug band co-founded by
her guitar playing mother and her banjo playing godmother. This glorious
introduction to music formed the base for Erin’s own brand of
Alternative Lifestyle Country music. Solid guitar playing, a gorgeous
voice, and sly humor make this one show you won’t want to miss. (Though you will want to leave the children at home. Seriously.)

Jeff Weisfeld Band - May 14
The most prolific ukelele-sousaphone-spoon-cuica-and-assorted-other-instruments band that you can ever hope to meet. They always have new songs on offer, and are universally charming.

Stephanie Rearick - May 21
Stephanie Rearick is a solo artist and fronts The There Was a Mans. She also plays drums and shares vocal duties in the new three-piece Ladyscissors. Previous bands include Your Mom SRO and The Coma Savants. Rearick's work is sometimes dark piano-based classical/cabaret/pop. In addition to piano, Rearick sings, plays trumpet, and builds pieces with various sound sources live on a Boss Loopstation. Is there anything she can't do? Come and see for yourself.

Midnight Moxie - May 28
The triumvirate that is Midnight Moxie returns, triumphantly, to Center Portion. If smartness, excellent tunage, and thematic outfits are what gets you out on a Saturday night, then we don't even need to tell you to be here when the Moxie's are playing. If you would like to help fund their first CD, give 'em a kick start here.
